HEY GIRL HEY! WHO ARE WE?

Breast Health Matters™ is an empowerment platform dedicated to educating, motivating and activating women and teen girls to take control of their breast health.

How to get involved

Who am I?

At the young age of 12, I learned about self-breast exams. During that time, I had an aunt that was battling breast cancer. My family did not talk about it and all I knew at that time, was I did not want to lose my breast, so I started to check them monthly.

Fast forward into adulthood. Little did I know, the very thing that I learned as a young pre-teen, would be the very same thing that saved my life. At 38, while conducting a self breast exam, I discovered a lump in my breast. This led to a diagnosis of an aggressive form of breast cancer called Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

While undergoing treatment and becoming an advocate, I learned that black women are disproportionately impacted by breast cancer. To address this disparity, I developed two educational programs on breast health for young teen girls and women.

BREAST HEALTH MATTERS™

Our Breast Health Matters™ workshop aims to educate women of all ages on good breast health. These sessions cover helpful way to avoid toxins in your life, cancer causing factors, self-breast exams, and simple steps to take care of our breast to prevent -and detect if needed- cancer growth.
Free to Non-Profit Organizations but donations are helpful and appreciated! Perfect for teen groups, church groups,, after school programs, Sororities, NPOs, mother daughter events, book clubs, corporate events, summer programs and more!

HEY GIRL HEY™ Party

Hey girl hey! Host a party with us and experience a day of healthy living in the comfort of your home.
Our Hey Girl Hey™ parties provide a fun and safe space to talk openly about breast care, cancer prevention, how to conduct a self-breast exam, what to look for, and more. These parties include games, an interactive presentation, discussions, and lots of free goodies! As a bonus, you will learn how to make healthy snacks, delicious smoothies, and non-toxic personal care items.
Perfect for a private intimate setting in the comfort of your home or virtual with your sister circle, family members, and more!
